I wish to become a beacon of hope. Our population is becoming so grossly overweight that its almost normal to be obese. I wish to travel and motivate more folks to get healthier.
I grew up in Lancaster Ohio. I joined the United States Marine Corps in 1995. While as a Marine I had various injuries that led to my decision in 1999 to separate from the military with an Honorable discharge. Those injuries led to my weight gain. I had sleep apnea, an opiod addiction, high blood pressure, nerve damage in my left foot causing foot drop, bulging disc in my spinal column, stomach hernia, lymphodema in my legs, low testosterone, torn rotator cuff, 2 meniscus tears in my right knee. By 2016 I had a stomach girth of 69 inches and weighed 470 pounds. I was prescribed 3200mg of vicodin daily by my doctors. I made my life changing decision in June 2016. I hired a body building trainer to help me lose the weight. With his meal plan and training schedule I had lost 170 pounds by the 2017 Arnold Sports Festival. By June of 2017 I had lost 203 pounds in 12 months.
