My fitness journey dates back 5years ago.... I suffered a slipped disk back injury during a sprite basketball tourney in Senegal. Slipped 3 vertebrae and off my feet for the next 18 months. During those 18 months there was chances of no recovery at the beginning. So after getting on my feet for the first time after 18 months or so I was scared of any physical pressure. I considered myself delicate. This is because being skinny most of my life I didn’t see that changing. So while on my travels thru Asia I met a guy in Singapore at a basketball camp I tried out for and he told me you are soo good with your skill set and knowledge you need to build a bigger frame and it will give you endurance and he said go hit the gym.
So I started hitting the gym with no idea as to what I was doing I just did what I saw anyone do without even Knowing why. And after a year of that sort of approach I didn’t see much results coz well my diet was awful bt then I didn’t exercise right also I drunk way too much for my own good.
When I noticed that I hadn’t progressed much. I sat and started doing research deep into fitness. I took an online fitness Course . I followed a few athletes at the Ulisess and Simeon Panda who really caught my eye. I quit the beer I haven’t drunk beer in 4 years. So i started teaching myself and learning and trying Out new things I changed my diet tremendously. I paid attention to Calories deficiency which was my biggest problem.
So i started seeing changes and getting stronger. I saw my frame start to change and I came from 172lb 6’4 guy to the 213 lb 6’4 guy you see here today. And I haven’t suffered an injury since I mean strained a few muscles here and there but nothing crazy yes I suffered an injury like twice every season for 8 consecutive years of my life.
